Assistant Investment Analyst - London
About the role
Starting in Summer 2025, this Assistant Investment Analyst role will play a key part in supporting our investment team with data analysis, client reporting and portfolio performance assessment. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop strong analytical skills, gain insights into financial markets and work directly with investment professionals. You will help ensure accurate data management, contribute to investment research and provide valuable insights that support client investment strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Gather, organise and maintain client investment data from multiple sources, including investment managers and data vendors.
- Investment & Portfolio Analysis: Assist in analysing investment performance, identifying trends and evaluating key metrics to help clients make informed decisions.
- Client Reporting: Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports, translating complex data into clear insights that support investment strategies.
- Risk & Performance Monitoring: Support senior analysts in monitoring risk exposure, asset allocation and investment returns to ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Market Research & Insights: Stay updated on market trends and assist in researching investment opportunities, asset classes and industry developments.
- Client & Manager Interactions: Engage with clients and investment managers, contributing to discussions on portfolio performance and investment solutions.
- Compliance & Due Diligence: Support compliance efforts, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Team Collaboration & Learning: Work closely with senior analysts and consultants to develop your expertise and contribute to team success.
What we’re looking for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to interpret and analyse investment data effectively.
- Well-organised and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Clear communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to present data insights concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook - experience with data tools is a plus.
- A proactive approach with an interest in financial markets and investment analysis.
- No prior experience in financial markets is required but enthusiasm for investment research and learning is essential.
